City lights to starry nights,
London subways to dirt roads
From Scotland Yard and Paliscats
to Uluru where the dingoes roam
I left my family in England
Made my way to the Dindy Mountains,
my heart had found its home
There's something about the people,
there's something about this land
There's something in the way we trust,
We can name our neighbours,
we're free to speak our minds
That's why I now call Australia home
Moved my life, met my wife
Had a family, built a home
Travelled round from town to town
Every road we made our own
Became our lifelong friends
There's something about this land
There's something in the way we trust
We can name our neighbours
We're free to speak our minds
That's why I now call Australia home
I don't regret a single thing I've done
All the places and the faces
When it comes right down to it
This is where my heart is
And I'm proud to say I call
There's something about this land
There's something in the way we trust
We can name our neighbours
We're free to speak our minds
That's why I now call Australia home
That is why Australia is my home
